Arioform Enterprise SolutionArioForm Enterprise is a fast, accurate and inexpensive way of collecting and electronically processing paper form data. Using the DigiMemo or an Anoto digital pen, mobile workers can transfer information directly to your information system via a standard internet or 3G connection. ArioForm Enterprise is a forms management solution for field-workers, which eliminates the need to re-key data. Field workers daily activities are largely unchanged and a paper trail can be maintained for traceability and/or compliance purposes. ArioForm Enterprise is a web-based solution, designed for multiple users with a central data repository. Different roles and access rights can be defined to match the way your business is structured and business rules can be applied to avoid exporting incorrect data to your backend system (e.g. mandatory fields, valid values or data format etc.) Not only compatible with digital writing, ArioForm Enterprise can be used as a direct entry tool, either with a mobile-phone or a web browser, giving the users freedom to choose their input device but processing all the data centrally. The process for Arioform Enterprise includes data capture, data transmission, data processing and validation and data integration.
Key Benefits:
Key Features:
Flexibility of the Arioform Enterprise Solution Ariolis pride themselves on being hardware agnostic and have developed the Arioform Enterprise Solution to support multiple input devices including the DigiMemo and the ANOTO Digital Pen. In addition to supporting digital writing, Arioform can be used as a direct entry tool, either via mobile phone or a web-based browser, giving the users the freedom to choose their input device while processing all the data centrally. The flexibility of the Arioform Enterprise solution allows customers to deploy multiple device types on a single project based on the company’s processes, the level of skill of field workers and personal preference. This also offers our clients added cost flexibility in the deployment of projects. In addition to the cost advantages of using the DigiMemo as the input device for single page form applications without pre-population (1 form type per user) thereby eliminating the need for ANOTO’s digital paper technology, Ariolis has also developed Arioform Xpress for simple Level 1 project deployments where handwriting recognition and data validation is not required. For Level 1 deployment, Arioform Enterprise is also compatible with most phones that are Java compatible provided that they have a Bluetooth chipset (including Nokia S40 and S60 platforms) which are more cost effective than the Smartphones with Windows Mobile required for Level 2 and more advanced levels of deployment. The Arioform Enterprise solution has also been developed so that, over time and as new technological advances are made in the digital pad and digital pen arena, it is possible to equip field workers with new devices with minimal changes or development on the server or the customer’s back end system. Current and Future Development Plans for Arioform Enterprise GPS Coordinates Development of “tags” for DigiMemo and ANOTO Digital Pen to read the GPS coordinates of the phone at the time that data is being transmitted. Form Studio Form Studio will enable the customer to integrate their own forms within Arioform, including:
Tablet PC / Netbooks Ariolis aim to be able to demonstrate a Tablet PC client which is targeted for upcoming tablet-enabled “Netbooks” that are more affordable that the current offering of Tablet PC’s. The Tablet PC client will include a dedicated, touch-optimised UI that simulates the proper “behaviour of a piece of paper” on the tablet. This will enable direct entry via a web-interface on the Netbook. JAVA Router for Advanced Features Ariolis are currently developing compatibility of their Java Router for advanced features (Level 2+) that will enable the full Arioform Enterprise solution to work with most phones that are Java compatible provided that they have a Bluetooth chipset (including Nokia S40 and S60 platforms). This will eliminate the need for advanced and expensive Smartphone technology. E-Book Readers Following on the completion of development of the Tablet PC client, Ariolis will begin development to enable Arioform Enterprise to support touch-enabled e-Book readers (similar to the Amazon Kindle). Input Device Options for ARIOFORM Enterprise ANOTO Digital PenUsing a digital pen is much like using a normal ballpoint pen however, the ANOTO digital pen contains an integrated digital camera, advanced image microprocessor and a mobile communications device for wireless connection. The digital pen captures your handwritten strokes. When in use, the camera takes digital snapshots of the pattern on the paper at a rate of more than 50 shots per second. Each snapshot contains enough information to determine the exact position of the pen and what it writes or draws, including the time each pen stroke is made and on which page of which form. All of this data is then retained in the pen’s memory as a series of coordinates. The pen can store up to 50 full A4 pages of handwritten data. Data can then be transferred either wirelessly or via a USB connection to any PC. For wireless transmission of data, the user simply ticks on a box on the page, interpreted by the pen as a “send” command and the pen will use Bluetooth to instantly send data via a mobile phone. For upload via docking, Ariolis also supplied a multi-platform Desktop Router that detects when a pen has been connected and, according to the devices unique user ID, sends the ink data to the server. Each individual digital pen is assigned a unique user ID in the Arioform Enterprise server and the pens can be disabled to avoid fraudulent data being submitted to the server in the case of theft. The unique ID also prevents any data being transmitted to the server from an unknown pen. Strong encryption is performed before data is transmitted and each pen contains a real time clock that times each pen stroke.
The ANOTO digital pen works with digital image technology that can be used on any paper type and works by applying a patent protected unique dot pattern to each page before printing. The ANOTO pattern consists of numerous “intelligent” small black dots that can be read by a digital pen. The pattern indicates the exact positions of the digital pen and each individual page has a unique identity so that each page can be kept separate from another. The ANOTO digital image can be printed ad-hoc or Litho printed in large volumes. DIGIMEMO Digital Notepad Arioform Enterprise supports the DigiMemo as an input device for single page form applications (without pre-population), provided that each individual user is responsible for one form type only, i.e. Disconnections only. For this application, the DigiMemo is the most durable and cost-effective device available on the market. The DigiMemo uses plain paper and is not dependent on the ANOTO digital paper technology for forms processing. Each DigiMemo is assigned a unique user ID in the Arioform Enterprise server and a DigiMemo can be disabled to avoid fraudulent data being submitted to the server in the case of theft. The unique ID also prevents any data being transmitted to the server from an unknown device. Each DigiMemo contains a real time clock and the data is saved in a proprietary format that can only be read by the relevant DigiMemo Manager and/or Arioform Enterprise software. Uploading data can be done wirelessly or via USB connection. For upload via docking, Ariolis also supplied a multi-platform Desktop Router that detects when a DigiMemo has been connected and, according to the devices unique user ID, sends the ink data to the server. | ||||||
